I know Joe has mentioned wanting to get stories moving in the forum, and I'm generally all for that. As someone who has run PbP games, I also know how demanding it is upon an SG. Time spent in the forum reduces the time available for the SG to prep for the next session. Stories that are intended to finish before the character is next a major part of a story might not be finished, and it might create discontinuities, that need to be resolved/retconned.
Instead, I think we need to work more like a troupe, and have the players SG other characters activities. A lot of things can be done by the actual player, but the troupe can apply an overall reasonableness sense to what ends up happening. We can focus on things that impact the individual character or things that are internal to the covenant, such as exploring the catacombs. Everyone probably needs to do an exploration there.
What I'd like to do is open things up a bit more, and take some weight off Yan's shoulders. I'd also like to revisit Yan having at least a magus character, other than Atticus, although, it could be Atticus. I'm more than willing to run some stories, I'll just say that I had some problems trying to come up with something for a feral upbringing character in a more or less urban covenant.

This sounds great! I know my magus had issues, I tried to hard not to step on you guys' toes/areas of influence that I ended up isolating my pc from everything, so that is on me. I've been toying with some other ideas, I'll post here as soon as they take shape. So how would we go about it? One possibility is that anyone who is willing can "adopt" an ongoing IC thread and run with it. Another is to pre-arrange with someone else so that you already know who is going to handle it. Ideas? Comments?

I think pre-arranging things is important. But, probably most important is for you to set the parameters of what stories are told.
For example, do you care if we develop the covenant, and have people dungeon diving into the catacombs, do you have a specific direction you want to take things?

Just to keep our thoughts/ideas straight I am going to make a note of a few things we discussed after the game tonight.
#1 Yan is considering a couple magi character concepts that might fit well into our campaign when the time is right.
#2 We are going to resolve the Benoit romance of Margherite in the forums (Yan) since it wouldn't make sense to make it an actual adventure. The end result will likely just add some interesting thematic moments/details and some possible plot hooks in the future.
#3 Celo is going to take the lead in some forum RP associated with Benoit finding a unique Shield Grog. I think after that I will start a thread for Karen (I have a couple ideas). Basically, we discussed taking some turns getting some forum RP going that did not have to be maintained by Yan (although he reserves the right to give the thumbs up or advice on anything beyond the mundane).
#4 It is also possible that Lu might be up for getting involved in some forum Rp in the future (this would be great!).
#5 The next adventure will consist of Benoit traveling to Oleron. It appears he will be accompanied by Alfonso, Quiver, and two grogs.
#6 We will be wrapping up Nimrod's "Mad Quest" next session...people may die...sanity may be lost...but at least Nimrod will be happy...or not.
If I have forgot anything please feel free to add to this list.

You guys don't have to check with me on everything not mundane. What I asked was that Benoit's shield grog, specifically, be either mundane or double checked with me first since we already have a group of supernatural grogs.
Other than that, have fun.

Good news...I think I found a great player to add to our game. I will chat with him and try and fill him in on our campaign next week since I head out of town this weekend. He has been wanting to play Ars and has some of the books but I am not sure how familiar he is with the game yet. I also started playing in a different game with him a couple months back and he seems like a perfect fit. I very nice laid-back fella from Puerto Rico. Perhaps he can sit in on our next session for a bit and everyone can meet. I will keep everyone posted : )

That is great news! I just hope my hectic scheduling for the next couple weeks won't scare him away...
