Some various items. I copied the Charter from Covenants and made modifications for what I could remember for Mons Merceris. You should have a link in an email from me. Joe: Jason's LR total for Benoit is 14 (66), assuming he's assisting in the lab, too. If he isn't helping and is, say reading a book, while in Jason's presence, the LR total drops to 12 (60), but for another pawn of Corpus, which Jason can use, it can go back up to 13. Total cost of the LR is either 13 or 14: 9 or 10 pawns for the ritual and I think we had agreed upon 4 pawns for Jason to do it. Jason doesn't have to be paid in Corpus, he will take Mentem.
Celo: Jason's LR total for Nimrod is 15 (75). So, one more pawn of Corpus, Creo or Vim and Nimrod can have an LR 16!! Who wants to live for ever? Nimrod does! Yan: I calculate that Jason could have completed his Covenant service due Winter in 1228 in the Summer of 1228, after or around the events of Grand Tribunal, it looks like there was about 10 days of interruption, what with Jason being able to teleport. I know that we spent quite a bit of time (4 days?) traveling in the forest prior to arriving at Durenmar, and then there were a few days prior to Grand Tribunal, but I don't remember how many, and then another 3 days of Grand Tribunal. His LT for creating the Balming Bandages of +12 Healing: Base 5, R:Touch +1, D:Moon +3, T:Ind, charged item CrCo25, against a LT of 56, yields 7 bandages. If he missed as many as 15 days, his lab total would drop to 36 and would still be able to produce 3 bandages, but then there's also the lab text, so next time he could produce 12 bandages... Jason has a Redcap season coming due in Summer 1231, which might be a really good place to do some stories related to how the new Tribunal is shaping up. If he's also able to interact with other Redcaps, it might be a spot where his Mutantum Magic becomes known, and he can shed his Illegitimate Lineage... Helena's Latin will be at 4 in Summer of 1231, so she will tag along, whether she's an NPC or not is up to the troupe. Benoit is going to employ Jason's services for the Longevity Ritual. He will assist Jason in the lab. He will acquire the Mentem Vis (4) and the Ritual Corpus Vis (9) in the next 3 or 4 years. ---Thanks!

BTW guys - I noticed today at Invisible Castle that if you just put the number 10 (in hindsight I'm luck DUH!) in the slot for "Dice"....it will not roll a 10 sided dice but will just end up a "10" when you roll. I'm not sure if anybody else has made this mistake before but I discovered my error when I was rolling for Benoit's last post with Margherite today. For his Folk Lore I got a "10" and then started rolling for botches and noticed that 10's kept coming up....lol...anyhow, I figured out what I was doing real quick and was glad that I didn't make a habit of rolling that way in the past. So the lesson is...be careful what you type into the "dice" input box : )

As for The LR costs, just be sure to have the 9 pawns Corpus by the time of the LR. Jason will extend some credit indie his payment if it is necessary.
As a short cut, you can have invisiblecastle automatically roll a botch die if you roll a 10. 1d10.open(10) will explode on 10s.

I have edited some portions of the Covenant Charter, so that it best represents Mons Mercurius as it stands in 1228.
Feel free to take a look and comment on anything, but please, do not edit anything before we make a group decision.
Thanks, Jason, for the hard work!

It's not about Marvel (or comics, or DC). The origin of the name in Greek has connotations of immortality...

Why not go for the full Thanatos?

Mainly for the beats of the name. Two syllables, and it's easily pronounceable, and almost everyone has heard of it because or Marvel. And the really difficult name for Thanos would be Athanasios... So we'll do it that way So, it might be like this, using the naming of magi from the now defunct Durenmar.de. Athanasios filius Alessandro scholae Mercandi Thanos ab Mons Mercuris His Hermetic name is Athanasios, but he goes by Thanos.

Moving the convo about Jason's character here, rather than the schedule thread. Yah regarding his sheet I really don't think Jason is looking to be a Creo Corpus specialist. He initially had a Creo Imaginem Affinity but quickly discovered the spells associated with those two just didn't jive with what he was starting to imagine for his concept. We started working on his character going backwards a bit and identifying sorts of spells that intrigued him or that he imagined his pater with the bad reputation might teach him. He took a bit more sinister direction when he decided he liked the idea of giving somebody leprosy lol. Thus he decided to keep his Creo affinity but drop his Imaginem affinity and instead take a minor focus....he ended up liking the idea of a minor focus with Diseases! Well I sure didn't see that coming and I know he was thinking along those lines earlier but it sorta made sense because of his mentor. We both imagined that the catalyst for specializing in diseases might have to do with him handing out punishment to those that are sinful, evil (I guess he gets to decide how "evil" is defined hehe), ungodly, or perhaps just irk him for some reason. Suddenly that made more of a Perdo emphasis a bit more important. I suspect he would totally be open to additional cool ideas but as a basic snapshot this is a taste of what he came up with. Creo (affinity) 8 Intellego 4 Muto 1 Perdo 5 Rego 4 Animal 0 Aquam 0 Auram 0 Corpus 9 Herbam 0 Ignem 0 Imaginem 5 Mentem 2 Terram 4 Vim 0 0 His starting spells are as follows: The Chirurgeon's Healing Touch, Phantasm of the Talking Head, Taste of the Spices and Herbs, Frosty Breath of the Spoken Lie, Trust of the Childlike Faith, Wizard's Sidestep, Curse of the Leprous Flesh, Weeping Black Plague (Wound That Weeps), Physician's Eye His Virtues: Gentle Gift, Affinity with Art (Creo), Minor Magical Focus, Method Caster, Hermetic Magus, Guardian Angel, Social Contacts Flaws: Restriction (Cannot Cast during Major Catholic Holidays), Infamous Master ("Alleged" fame for interfering/manipulating mundanes), Offensive to Animals, Pious (Major), Higher Purpose (Allowing the Order of Hermes to protect Cathars & Promote peace between the Catholics and Cathars), Mentor Skills: South of France Lore* Cathar Country/Carcassonne 1 Awareness 2 Charm 2 Chirurgy* 1 Craft (Painting) Religious Murals 1 Etiquette 2 Folk Ken 2 Guile 2 Intrigue 1 French 2 Music 1 Occitan Clergy 5 Church Lore* Beauracracy 1 Heretics Lore* Cathars 1 Profession (Farming) Grapes 1 Artes Liberales* 1 Civil & Canon Law* 1 Latin 4 Theology* 1 Code of Hermes* 1 Dominion Lore* 1 Magic Theory* 3 Parma Magica* 1 I put this down to help alleviate some of your fears. I don't think he has any intentions of becoming a Corpus master...I think he is more inclined to be a Generalist to be honest. He probably struggles with long-term goals Arts-wise because of his newness to the game. I felt the same way initially thus the reason I choose "A Son of the Wind-Lord" sort of concept....to better help me establish some initial goals and a starting character build. Anyhow, I'm sure he would love everyone's advice on how he could make his character better but beware...too much advice might be a bit overwhelming for a rookie in this game. Playing generalists are hard, and if one is going play a generalist, having a focus doesn't really jive with that. His Affinity with Creo also seems to be a useless appendage, as only two spells would benefit from that. His Guardian Angel seems somewhat at odds to having a spell that can nearly instantly kill. Someone who is focused on diseases should not really have a Guardian Angel, IMO. It wouldn't be a bad thing to see a more martial Jerbiton, and there is plenty of canonical support for this in the books, they're called the Antigones and they exist because of the fall of Rome. He could be interested in promoting diplomacy between the Cathars and the Catholic Church but be prepared for violence should negotiations go aggressive. And if he were to go general, he could go general with a whole bunch of spells that buff his defenses, Doublet of Impenetrable Silk Hardness of Adamantine, Gift of the Bear's Fortitude, or similar spells, along with being Tough can easily outclass the Soak bonus from the Guardian angel, and couple that with Wizard's Sidestep, he's difficult to hit, too... What does Jason want to accomplish with the character?

Joe, I note that you have Benoit using the Perdo Primer for Spring of 1228. Jason is using it that season, you will have to pick something else.
