Yah I think spending a few mins with him at the start of our next session might help him out a bit. It's hard for a new player to have concrete idea of what he wants to do and where he wants to go until he really gets a feel for the game, but throwing some ideas his way might help him hone-in on something. I thought the disease focus was a too limited unless he was planning on being a pretty sinister magus. I am sure he would love to hear some advice when we all meet next. Then he can tweak his character one more time.
I will switch around Benoit's season in that np.

true leprosy is a divine disease  That said Jason may find diseases too narrow a focus, there arent that many situations that call for it. An interesting virtue to have if he is considering "holy magic" is deft (art). Holy magic is fairly powerful, but it demands alot of sacrifice from the character, including to stop using hermetic words and gestures; deft art softens the blow in at least one art. It is also much easier to use most mentem spells if the target isnt aware you are casting a spell I agree with Jonathan´s comment about generalist vs specialist, Jason may find he actually has more options if he focus on a few combinations of TeFo as he is able to cast more powerful spells within that combination. Crossing the 15-20 threshold opens many doors in most arts. |

Well I know he is out of town this weekend but I will try and see if he can meet for a short hang-out maybe Monday evening sometime. I will let you know if that appears to be an option though this channel when I get word.

Hey Jay, is the sheet you shared the final version?
Also, did you guys come up with a reason/explanation for Jean-Baptiste to join the covenant?
Is there any change to the background that is necessary?
Finally, did you have any thoughts on a companion?

Ok Jon, Benoit has supplied the Corpus Vis to Thanos for his LR (although I noticed we do now have a corpus deficit -- problem) and has paid his debt to you in 4 Mentem Vis. At this time the Vis Worksheet has been updated.

Thanos can exchange some vis, for a fee. He has 13 pawns Corpus. You can't leave the covenant with a corpus deficit, so I think you will have to pick something else. I'm fine if the fee is owed by the Covenant, rather than Benoit.
Alternatively, we can explore the roll of Afonso going out and acquiring more vis. We might not be able to get a lot of Corpus vis, but it should be enough.

I just meant that the Corpus vis that he needed to complete his LR would be more than what we have in supply so yah, if that is ok with Thanos he can use some of his Corpus vis and the Covenant would owe him. I knew there was no way to have a negative Vis source but I still noted the expenditure so that we could keep track of everything.
*cracks the whip* Find us some Corpus Vis Alfonso lol.
On a side note - I spoke with Jay and he is having some bad-luck starting with us since the next day we play again he will be in New Orleans. I told him not to worry about it we were in the middle of an adventure and we can always play with three like we have been. He will be able to jump right in pretty easy when he is ready.

Yan, I need to get some clarification on Thanos's adventure season, I have Summer of 1231 down as free. If it's not that season, I need to adjust his advancement to account for that. Or, if your plans are flexible, we can do it during that time. Earlier is probably better if Thanos is playing Redcap.
