She has some supernatural abilities as a result of her Atlantean heritage, but is not a magical creature herself. Leif wanted more for his daughter than the destiny proscribed for girls in Atlantis. He taught her some weapon skills and instilled in her a sense of adventure. She misses her father very much, as he apparently perished defending her escape from Atlantis with her mother and Nimrod, among others.
